It’s a hot town, summer in the city – and that means it’s time for the White Rock Sea Festival and Semiahmoo Days.
The City of White Rock and Semiahmoo First Nation welcome the community for the 74th annual event Aug. 2 and 3 – an unforgettable weekend of sun, surf, and celebration at the waterfront.
“The White Rock Sea Festival and Semiahmoo Days are a longstanding tradition that reflect the vibrancy, community spirit, and natural beauty of our waterfront,” White Rock Mayor Megan Knight said in a release.
“In partnership with the Semiahmoo First Nation, we are proud to welcome residents and visitors to enjoy live performances, family-friendly activities, and community connection. From the vibrant entertainment, to the Torchlight Parade and the spectacular fireworks finale, this special weekend offers unforgettable memories for all ages. We invite everyone to join us along the waterfront and celebrate together.”
Enjoy an exciting lineup of activities, performances and entertainment across three activation zones located at:
- Semiahmoo Park: Live music, family-friendly games, Indigenous artisans and food trucks at the bandshell overlooking Semiahmoo Bay. Musical highlights include Legacy’s tribute to Billy Joel and Elton John (Saturday) and country trio The Heels (Sunday).

- Memorial Park: Catch non-stop live music on the Main Stage, with surf-rockers California Surf Club on Saturday, and the soulful sounds of Sade on Sunday.
Additional highlights include the crowd-favourite Waiters Race Saturday evening and the Torchlight Parade, presented by Waste Connections of Canada, which floats down Marine Drive Saturday starting at 8:30 p.m. by Oxford Street and ending at Semiahmoo Park.
“We look forward to hosting Semiahmoo Days this year together with the White Rock Sea Festival,” said Semiahmoo First Nation Chief Harley Chappell.“We will have Indigenous artisans, the favourite Kids’ Zone, and live music at the iconic bandshell stage in Semiahmoo Park. We invite everyone to join us.”
A fireworks show will conclude the festival with a spectacular display on Sunday, Aug. 3 starting at 10:15 p.m.
The public can view the brilliant, colourful show from anywhere along the waterfront.
