You can dance if you want to at the 2025 edition of Rock the Kootenays.

The lineup for Cranbrook’s premier music festival has been announced, with some familiar and new bands coming to town next Aug. 8 to 10.

Returning bands include 54-40, Honeymoon Suite and Streetheart, while acts new to the festival include legendary Canadian blues artist Colin James, Men Without Hats, Five Man Electrical Band, Haywire, Odds, Saga, Sweet and The Trews.

James is no stranger to Cranbrook, having performed numerous shows at the Key City Theatre over the years, while Men Without Hats graced the stage at last summer’s RockiesFest, the music festival that accompanied Spirit of the Rockies.

The full weekend schedule of who is playing when, will be announced in January 2025, with daily tickets going on sale as well. All tickets are fully refundable up until January when the weekend schedule is announced. Tickets are on sale now at tickets.cranbrook.ca.

The 2025 festival will be the third year since its inaugural year that quickly exploded as the city’s premiere music festival following the COVID-19 pandemic.
