Victoria’s Craigdarroch Castle is preparing for its holiday season and everyone is invited!
Running from Dec. 3 to Jan. 7, the favourite event will showcase Victorian-era toys, traditions and seasonal decorations throughout the historic site.
New this year is a guided holiday tour, offered on select dates in December. The one-hour tour begins at 4:30 p.m. and takes visitors through rooms decorated in period style while guides share stories from the 19th century.
Afterward, guests are welcome to stay until 6 p.m. to take photos and explore the castle on their own.
The tours run Dec. 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23. Tickets are $35 on Eventbrite.
Additionally, self-guided tours will run through the month of December, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday to Sunday.
Holiday music performed by Victoria Conservatory of Music students begins Dec. 13.
Performance times and December operating hours are listed on the Craigdarroch Castle holiday webpage.
The castle is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. More information on scheduling and ticket details is available at thecastle.ca or by calling 250-592-5323.
