An agreement among visitors is getting international attention.
Revelstoke has the world’s best powder for skiing and snowboarding, according to an international award series driven by public ratings of winter resorts.
The 2025 Snomad Ski Resort Awards, based on verified ratings from more than 140,000 skiers and snowboarders who’ve sailed the local powder themselves, have declared Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) home of the best powder.
“This isn’t just about deep snow (though we’ve got plenty of that),” RMR said on Facebook, calling itself the gold standard for powder skiing. “It’s the terrain, lift access, and the pure, unfiltered stoke that makes Revelstoke a bucket-list destination for skiers and riders worldwide.”
Snomad is a London-based, community-driven platform for skiers that’s run for three years, spotlighting resorts across North America, Europe and beyond in 20 award categories.
Along with topping the visitor-rated charts for snow quality, RMR scored second place worldwide as the best resort for tree skiing and intermediate skiers, second in North America for advanced and expert skiers, and third worldwide for off-piste, snowboarding and best overall ski resort.
“Revelstoke is a big-mountain resort with a small-town soul,” Snomad founder Dan Lever said in a release. “These awards are proof of what locals and regulars already know — there’s no place like Revy when it comes to deep snow and unforgettable ski days.”
RMR posted on its website Tuesday that factors setting Revelstoke’s powder apart from other resorts include heavy and fluffy snowfall; massive vertical and backcountry terrain within bounds; and consistent performance quality across freestyle, steep pitches, tree runs and off-piste.
“Revelstoke has long been a powder paradise for those in the know,” Lever added. “With its legendary snowfall, vast terrain, and an exceptional reputation among experienced skiers, it’s no surprise to see Revelstoke rise to the very top. These awards are based entirely on real visitor feedback – and skiers have spoken loud and clear.”
