Named after the Nechako, which means “Big River” in the locak Dakelh (Carrier) language, this wilderness area extends from Vanderhoof at its northern boundary to Tweedsmuir Park, including the Entiako, Blackwater and Dean rivers.

This is a land of sparkling lakes and clear rivers, featuring some of the best freshwater fishing anywhere in Canada, and is ideal for wildlife viewing, hunting and more.
