We know you love sharing your amazing experiences throughout the West Coast … now you could win a brand new adventure, simply by sharing a TikTok!

West Coast Traveller and Black Press Media are excited to launch this year’s Amateur TikTok Creator of the Year contest, perfect for those exploring Canada or their own backyard.

Sponsored by Maritime Travel, Vancouver Attractions and Tide Rip Grizzly Adventures, more than $3,000 in prizes are available to be won. As you’re building new memories, simply create new TikToks along the way and share!

Here’s how it works

Submit the best TikToks (vertical video) you’ve made by uploading them to the West Coast Traveller contest page by 11:59 p.m. April 24, 2022. Each person can enter up to 10 videos.

Categories include: Vacation and Road Trips; Adventure and Adrenaline; Nature and Wildlife; Fun and Humour; News, Events and Activities; and Food and Beverage.

All entrants will then have the opportunity to come back and vote for their top pick in each category from April 29 to May 29.

A judging panel will determine the top 30 videos across all six categories and the top three videos will be eligible for prizes:

  • First Place: Amateur TikTok Creator of the Year – prize valued at$1,000, sponsored by Maritime Travel.
  • Second Place: Amateur TikTok Creator of the Year – prize valued at $1,000, sponsored by Vancouver Attractions.
  • People’s Choice: Amateur TikTok Creator of the Year (selected by public voting – prize valued at $800, sponsored by Tide Rip Grizzly Adventures. The Top 30 videos as selected by our judging panel will be voted on by the general public.
  • Voter Prize: One lucky voter will receive a $250 gift certificate for Save On Foods.

If your video applies to more than one category, you can submit in multiple categories.

And you never know, your video may be shown to viewers across our Black Press Media network in Western Canada!

Visit contest page, Rules, and Terms & Conditions (links found at the bottom of the page) for more information.
