Ten tips every traveller should know

For the avid travellers, vacationers, and work trips, be prepared on the go. Here are some tips to prepare before a flight and make your travel experience convenient.

1. A copy of your passport and an extra photo

This is the most important document while travelling. Just in case you lose it, have a photocopy safely stored for backup.

2. The essentials

Bring a bag of toiletries that will last you at least two days. Toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, body wash, shampoo, lotion.

3. Blanket Scarf

We can’t all fit a blanket on the flight, and ones provided on flights are not always the most comfortable way of keeping warm. Bring a cozy blanket scarf to keep you warm during the cold temperature in the airplane.

4. A spare change of clothes

Just in case your luggage gets lost or you need a refresh, bring some light spare clothes.

5. Power bank

Sometimes the airplane charger might not work or you might be in a rush trying to get to your next gate with a dying phone which may also have your digital boarding pass on it. Just in case bring a power bank to charge up on the go.

6. Compression bags

Create extra space in your suitcase by packing your clothes in compression bags and vacuuming all the air out.

7. Multi-bag stacker

Got too many bags? Get a multi-bag stacker strap that can pull up to 3 suitcases with one hand. This is perfect for travelling families.

8. An empty water bottle

Avoid paying for water at the airport. Bring an empty water bottle and fill it up after security.

9. Download Google Maps online

Depending on where you are, wifi may not be available right then and there. Avoid the extra data charges and download Google Maps offline to access your directions.

10. Pen and Notebook

Simple advice but you will never know when you might need to write something urgent down.
