Travel advisory on Highway 5 between Hope and Merritt

August 6, 2021 //  by Sarah Gawdin

Share this:

Another travel advisory due to smoke has been issued for Highway 5, this time in both directions from the Peers Creek Exit (228), to Merritt (Exit 286).

Beginning six kilometres (KM) north of Hope, the advisory is for 101.8 KM due to wildfire smoke causing limited visibility.

The highway is open to traffic, but there’s no stopping.
