Spring has sprung at Chilliwack’s Greendale Acres Farm.

Kicking things off at the agritourism destination is the Sweet Spring Flower and Animal Festival, running until May 11.

This year, new features include a tulip pyramid and daffodil gardens, plus Dutch-inspired displays and U-pick tulips to take home as well. There are more than 100,000 tulips in full bloom, a ‘river’ made of tulips, plus footbridges and a windmill.

Other attractions on site are the Greendale Express train, giant jumping pillow, an adventure course, animal displays, bubble bar, pedal cart track, hay bale maze, duck races, gardens, plus picnic areas and more.

Also returning to the farm for the annual festival is Lily’s Barnyard, offering guests of all ages a special opportunity to interact with Greendale’s friendly animals in a unique and hands-on way. People can pet, brush, or simply observe them up close. It is only available on the weekends, however there are ways to connect with the animals during weekday visits.

Other events happening throughout the spring include Easter at Greendale Acres on April 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20; Grandparents’ Day on Friday, April 25; Princess Day on Saturday, April 26; the Shift Workout Event, a cardio and strength-training event on Saturday, May 10; the Greendale Tulip Dig where folks can bring a shovel and take home bulbs on May 10 and 11; and the Mother’s Day Celebration on Sunday, May 11.

Find Greendale Acres Farm at 41905 Yale Rd. W. For a full list of events, hours, ticket info and more information on each event, go to greendaleacres.ca.
